In 1910, S. Carlisle Martin, a friend but not a relative of Harry B. Martin, took over drawing the Weatherbird. He is the third Weatherbird artist. C. Martin started making Weatherbird comment about the news, and started the pattern of the six words or less for the Birdline, and was assisted with writing the birdline by Carlos Hurd. Martin was the Weatherbird artist until his death in 1932.
